They managed something 'our' overpaid underperforming team couldn't. They played as a team. I'm so pleased for them.

I Googled it. Apparently they were the best at kicking a bag of wind. Apparently the England team shared a bag of wind with Iceland, and the Iceland team were better at kicking bags of wind on that occasion.

                  Well done Wales.

So so proud of the boys. What a team, what fans and what a night. The boys played like a team, played for each other, for Chris Coleman, for Gary Speed, for the fans, for whole of Wales and played with real passion. The red dragon slayed the red devils.

Despite being ten minutes from the Belgian border, hence many more Belgian fans there than Welsh, for the majority of the night all you could hear was the Welsh fans singing their hearts out, and what a wonderful wonderful sound it was!

"Don't take me home, please don't take me home, I just don't wanna go to work,
I wanna stay here, and drink all the beer,
please don't please don't take me home"

To put it into context, we beat the second best team in the world.

To think that Hal Robson-Kanu played in the Championship last season and is now out of contract (although not for long I suspect).

Oh dear ... what a dilemma ... do I fly the Welsh flag on Wednesday for my birthland walesc5[1].gif ... or the Portuguese flag for my adopted homeland portugaC35b[1].gif

.... maybe I'll have one in each hand and wish both well ...

While I have precisely zero interest in football, I love that people care. And while I might occasionally troll people about it, I genuinely respect them for being passionate and open about their passion for it. Especially as a time when many are being miserable gits about a completely unrelated trivial matter.

So while I was, I admit, deliberately being facetious earlier when pretending to not know what was going on, I was being genuinely sincere when congratulating Wales for their success.
