I managed to find time to watch Fox News, well I like a laugh, and they were carrying a news story about a Husband, wife and baby who let their dog out for a walk and it disappeared. They searched for it, put out posters and rewards but no joy.........until today......8 years later. That's not the only startling thing, the couple who lost the dog live in Virginia while the dog was found by a Dog Trainer in California!! The dog had been "chipped! by the original owners and the Dog Trainer tracked them down by it. So the dog was returned to them from over 3,000 miles away and 8 years later looking older but not the worse for wear. Lucky dog, lucky owners.!!!:D

I used to work for a man who was proper hard faced, no heart as far as we could tell, who would sell his own grandmother for a fiver.

Imagine everyone's surprise then when his mobile phone rang in the middle of a meeting, he answered it assuming it was potential business, and then he promptly started crying as he confirmed some details.

The second the phone call ended, he was straight back on the phone to his wife, to tell her to fetch his passport and an overnight bag to the office immediately.

He then seemed to realise that there was nothing he could do now but wait, while his wife drove down with the stuff he'd asked for, so he calmed down a bit. Realising that we were all wondering what was going on, he almost breathlessly said "they've found my dog".

His dog had been stolen 3 years before, while he was living in Spain. Someone had found it wandering, looking a bit worse for wear, and had taken it to a vet to get it checked. They'd got the dog back to health and then traced the owner (my former boss) via the chip.
