walking on a wet lawn

hi all, recently i have been trying to get the perfect lawn which i have failed in doing !!!
we have had a lot of rain lately and i just couldn't get out to cut the grass as it was getting long the rain has calmed right down over the last few day and even been quite sunny so i have cut the grass but now i have lots of foot prints in the lawn which are actually dented into the soil. so what i need to know is will the lawn repair its self or have i actually done real damage to my lawn ???

 

Lawns are quite hardy, So I doubt you've done any permanent damage. The soil was obviously quite wet when you mowed. I suggest you leave mowing until it is firmer under foot. If it doesn't recover, but I think it will, you will probably have to use a roller to level it.

 

I'm trying to get RID of the lawn......hehehe. Well most of it. A little bit at a time so hubby won't notice till its too late!
