Hi all, I've been trying to find organisations that need volunteers to help out gardening. The only problem is that they generally only have work for weekdays. Does anyone know of help to be done at weekends, as I have a day job.
    Thanks

Yes, NT do do weekend breaks. I'll look in to these. Thanks
Funnily though we have to pay to help. Suppose that's to pay for accommodation and food.

Does anyone know what the accommodation is like?

Probably a hostel. Is there no one near you need help, pensioners :old: and disabled, or is it you need to learn about plants, you could still try pensioners.

I feel safe enough with our communal garden as I know. Most of the plants that are there already and definitely know those that I've bought myself.

I would feel rather nervous being let loose on a poor pensioner's garden. Unless it was just to cut their grass.

I would much favour being under the instructions of an expert gardener. I'm tempted to evening classes to learn official qualifications.

I was thinking some pensioners/disabled could be very knowledgable, whilst not able to physically do the work, but could sit in garden and tell you what to do.

I would put an ad in local shops explaining you are a novice but would like to learn in exchange for knowledge.
