I have seen the picture (see link) of what they believe to be a lion but to me it looks like a very thin female lion to put it mildly.

those "holiday makers" are full of unmentionables! I saw that and I knew it was a domestic cat. The owner has come forward.

Back to the original post ... we bought a 'bolthole' on the hillside of River Arade looking at Silves with views over the wetlands where storks and flamingos meet, and hoopoes and little owls sit and twitter or whatever. It's only 30 minutes away but different than where we are. Here is a sneak preview from the back ...

Very interesting, Claire. This guy sounded very much like the corrupt man we bought our apartment from on the Isle of Wight! I hope too many people didn't get taken in by him ... and I certainly made the right decision! Off for an early supper tonight with the man we are buying from, sale planned for next week.
