Was recently informed of a crime sweeping the country where cars are targetted by thieves who wait for a person to return to the car they have chosen. When the person is in the car they sneak up and stick a piece of paper on the rear screen. The driver gets out to remove said bit of paper and the villans jump in and make off possibly mowing down the owner if they get in the way. So if this happens to your car, dont get out to remove the paper until you are clear of the area or reverse park into a space so you dont have to reverse out. Take care people.

Thanks for the warning Kasabian (long time no see-Happy New Year!!)
    Any car-jackers reading this:
I have a P reg Saxo, slight front end damage, drivers side slightly shorter than it should be.
Handles like a bag of ferrets.
More than happy for it to be car-jacked, save yourself a piece of paper!! :D :D :D :D

Tell you what - after having had my handbag stolen as I was getting into my car a while back, nothing would get me out of my well locked car now - 'cept a fire, of course!

A friend also had a nasty experience just before Christmas. He pulled out of the garage - as one does. Stopped the car just a couple of feet past the doors - as one does. Got out to shut the garages doors - as one does. And while he was standing right behind the car and closing said doors, a lad jumped in the car and drove off! Now his drive is quite long and narrow so you'd really think it was reasonably safe for him to go to his garage to shut the doors, wouldn't you? I mean, we all do it!

But the insurance company wouldn't pay out a penny because he'd "left his vehicle unattended with the engine running"! And he'd only had it a couple of months as well!

I would have given myself a bump on the head and said I had been hit over the head ..... Give the culprit more problems if and when they are caught .... Also, the car would be insured as well.

Not a good thing to hear though :(

He needs his garage doors automated MD ;)

Bring back the birch!! too many insurance companies will try to wriggle out of paying out for a claim, but they are only too pleased to help and be polite when they are taking your money.

My brother had his Spitfire car taken, it was recovered in Coventry two months later and he went there to bring it home. The Police didn't have any keys that fitted so he took the original set of keys with him and was able to jump in it and come home. It wasn't until the next day he unlocked and opened the boot and he found the thief had locked in there a little stash of goodies...six socket sets,A box of Scotch (12)and 2000 fags!!!

Fragmentation Hand grenades! When you take out the fuse and charge it's possible to insert a plastic lighter! and Hey Presto you have a table lighter!...Best fun of all though is to use them for lake fishing. ;)
