According to the forecast i've just seen....severe gales are forecast overnight for down south...how right it turns out remains to be seen but just keep your containers sheltered if you can and also take your baskets down to be on the safe side:thumbsup:

Put your bike clips on as well ziggy, to stop any wayward gusts...

Its started to get a wee bit lively already lolimac - I had to stake all my outdoor tomatoes earlier, re-secure the netting over my veggie crops and weigh it down with big bricks, and am currently watching the trees in neighbouring gardens rocking in the wind (and its barely started yet).

More annoying, it is so chilly indoors, we have had to put the heating on for an hour. Its June! :gaah:

All shut - windows too. £22 that pane of glass cost me last week, so I have no intentions of revisiting that wee problem in a hurry :)

Its gone quiet out now - rain has stopped and it is quite still; the lull before the storm maybe?

Thanks for the warning loli, I'd not seen the weather warning. My competition pumpkins had already been blown over by the time I got back from work, no real harm done, they are back in the greenhouse now. Everything else will have to take it's chances outdoors.

Everyone still here? No damage to garden that I can see, just lots of blossom on the deck

No bad wind last night :eeew: - got out my pumpkins and tomatoes this morning for hardening off, this time I've dug little holes for the pots and heaped earth around them to stop them blowing over.

Very gusty here today, with some very light rain occasionally - no damage thankfully.

I think the word used by the forecasters these days is "Breezy".
Well this "breeze" has been no worse than the NE "breeze" we have been enduring for the last few months.
At least this one was a bit warmer.

It's strange Zigs, it always seems to be that same chair that's blown over. :heehee:
