I have just sprayed my runner beans with washing up water to get rid of the black fly, will this hurt the ladybirds?

An old wives tale is to plant marigolds (plant species) in between veg rows the blackfly keep away. Washing up water is ok to use I use it on Dahlias and they are fine.

Certainly is an OWT - mine didn't stop the blackfly, just provided dinner for the slugs & snails!!
