    Just had to share this!

    I went to the plot this morning to get a leek for home made soup. I see a man in a hi viz vest looking flustered. I ask him if he is ok - he says no.

    He had been trying to deliver a skip to our site & had hit a fence post. He got out of his cab to check the post & was instantly attacked by wasps. He had disturbed the nest when he hit the post. He had ran from the lorry - engine still running - grumpy wasps everywhere.

    I nipped back home & picked up some antihistamine, sting spray & a flask of coffee for him. He was extrememly grateful...but there were some stings he couldn't reach to spray.

    So theres me, with the spray & some strange guy with his trousers round his ankles - t-shirt hiked up & me behind him spraying his stings..he even had to drop his undercrackers:thud::whistle:
    We must have looked a right sight!!
    :snork::snork:
    I certainly wasnt expecting that this morning:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

          I managed to get a Kids Train Ride closed for the day, there was a nest between the sleepers and the train disturbed them every time it went over. Reported it and the ride was closed.

          My kids were NOT happy with me. I did feel a little guilty, but on the plus side, I didnt have to pay for them to go on the ride!!

            This has been the first year in ages that I've not had a nest amongst my crops (with them wanting to attack me whenever attending/harvesting them), or swarms descending on me when pressing apples for juice.

                  Got stung twice a few weeks back, wasp got into my shirt, luckily had some lemon juice in the car to nutralise the sting, stopped it hurting, but not itching.
