Had the first wasp take advantage of the warm temperatures in the conservatory today, and, like last year it was noticable how big it was...scarry.

A few days agoI had one in my new polytunnel which was completely sealed up. I sited it very close to where there as a wasp nest in the ground last year.

I hope I haven't built it over hibernating wasps........

I think I've only seen 2 or 3 so far and they're ones that have got into the kitchen area and were trying to get out through the closed window. I don't really have any issues with Wasps, but that may be because I don't usually get them in large numbers in the garden or house, the isolated one or two aren't a threat.

Having said that, I've just remembered that I went to Ironbridge in late August last year with some friends and we had a meal at a Pub outside and a large number of wasps turned up to share the meal. Wasps are easy to kill if they've got food on their minds, but when you get peopling flapping around in semi-panic you know somebody is going to get stung:mad:
