Water Lillies - more!

    Hi

    I have a water lillie that has now given me 6 flowers so far this year - I make sure I take the dead stem off and I keep on getting new buds. It's only the second year that I have had this lillie and it only gave me one flower last year.

    Here it is - half open:

    This is my other lillie on it's second year and I have only had this 1 flower from it:

    They are beautiful, Gilly. I'm a great water lily fan although I don't know the names of any of them. I think they look like works of art, almost like fine porcelin.

    Very pretty, well done! Do you know the names of them? I might get a pink or red one to go with my white one (N. alba). I also quite fancied a colour changing one...
    I wonder if it matters too much if they aren't deadheaded cos I've got rather a large pond to be reaching across!
