In Lidl this week they have five litre sprayers for sale for twelve quid.

They're not pro quality, but if they last as well as the two litre hand held jobbies that I bought from there three years ago it'll be good value.
I reckon that it'll be dead handy for the greenhouse.

Excellent, thank you. I've been after one of those for ages for when I'm spraying the patio so will have a pop along :blue thumb:

      Is it a pressure sprayer?

I just want it for spraying in the g/house, and for blasting bugs off, so it should be ideal.

Catztail - it takes 40psi before the relief valve opens.

Put Vaseline on the diaphragm on the bottom of the pump & run everything thru a fine mesh sieve as you fill it.

It's good enough for a hobbyist. It'll also save me a lot of walking at the new place with its 5ltr capacity.

          Vaseline and rubber?
I'm putting a new water softener in as soon as I move in - will that be enough?

Brass fittings? Posh! and should last a decent while I reckon.

I have had three of the hand held 2ltr sprayers for three years now and they are good Kristen.
If I was running a nursery I would probably spend more on something of pro quality, but for the hobby grower it looks and feels more than good enough.

You mean like the problems you get using baby oil with condoms? No, not had that problem with the Hozelock sprayers I use, must be some sort of synthetic rubber.

I use sprayers all the time for work & I find its the little bits of cack that get inside them that sod up the handle switch, even though that has a filter on it. If you can stop the stuff getting in in the first place it will make it last a lot longer.

Don't make love to a Lady covered in baby oil if you are wearing a condom. It will loose structural integrity in seconds.

Err- I did know really. Being humorous!

OH loses her structural integrity when she see's me naked - but not in a good way though:lunapic 130165696578242 5:

                "Lady covered in baby oil"

All sorts of structural integrity problems with that scenario I suspect!
