Does anyone else's cat insist on being watered at the same time as the plants? I literally have to tip the water so that he can drink it as it comes out the spout lol, it makes for the watering of the garden a lengthy chore..:heehee::kittykiss:

I've never encountered a cat that likes water like that, does it mind being sprinkled?

No, but for ages my cat used to insist on the kitchen tap being turned on so that he could use it as a drinking fountain. Plain old water in a bowl held no cat appeal at all.

Our cats never used to like drinking tap water, I always thought they didn't like the chlorine taste, instead ours loved to drink from dirty muddy puddles instead :what:

Our youngest Munchkin (Chere Khan) has always loved water and runs around under the hose when we are watering. She also drinks from a running tap and out of any receptacle containing water ... but we have never seen her drink from the water bowl next to the crunchies! :what: When we run a bath, she materialises from heaven knows where having heard water running, often flying through the catflap and skidding into the bathroom (we have ceramic floors throughout) to sit on the edge and wait for whoever is about to get in. Then she puts front paws on a knee, butt up in the air and drinks the bath water ... apparently if it's soapy it tastes better ...

Thankfully the two boys are 'normal' ... :love30:

He doesn't seem to mind, he will only drink water from the tap in the bathroom as well, i even tried buying one of those water fountain things for cats and he used it a bit then went back to the bathroom :wallbang: lol...

Haha Victoria, that sounds like my cat, he broke his leg when he was a year old and though only 2 now, very often he sits with his leg stretched out, sleeping, or sitting so very often likes to come into the bathroom when i'm in the bath and was sat on the side of the bath, stretched his leg out straight into the water which was a tad hot and immediately retracted it again, i couldn't help but laugh, bless him. Its def a love hate relationship with water for cats :happydance:

Something doesn't look quite right on that clip ...... the cats tongue doesn't come out far enough for him to lick anything - bet it the stream of water or the water running down his face
                        Just doesn't look right .....
