watering

    how much do you water a vegatable patch ive sown some seeds last weekend and give them a good watering, but nothing since then i dont want to over do it.
    this is my first year growing vegatables so any advice would be appricated thanks.

    Hi Gandygardener, at this time I would be inclined to just keep them moist. what seeds are thay? David.

    Dai is right ? What seeds are they ?

    There's loads of advice available but we need a bit more detail !

    ive planted leeks carrots cabbage parsnips beetroot radish lettuce turnip beans onions alsorts ive just put a load in and see what happens ;)

    I'm new to veggy gardening too, Gandy. I've got a lot of the same things as you and I am watering them every evening.

    With this continued dry weather they should be watered everyday. I would also suggest you buy a good book on growing veg. David.

    I bought the RHS / Carol Klein book - "Grow your own" which has been a great assett. I'd recommend it to any new starter like myself.

    I also bought some old gardening books from charity shops for about a quid each .
