Hello all, I'm new to this group.
I'm currently in the process of preparing my garden to lay some turf. One area is quite shady and we have clay soil so drainage is had anyway. I have gone over the whole area with a fork and turned it over in an attempt to allow the existing water to drain and then left for a few days to dry out but when ice gone back to it there is still lots of water pooling about 6 inches below the surface.

    Any advice?

You may need to put in drains.
