I suspect that the current weather forcast, (If they change a lifetimes habit and get it right) will sort the men out from the boys.
I for one have been unusually eager with most things (up to now) planted and growing indecently early. We will now see the value of fleece, closhes, plastic water bottles, netting and all the other things that I have used to get a early start.
Promise to report the result when the sun re-apears.

I for 1 can't wait until winter is finally over. Mind you the met did say it would be a late one and it surely is. Except for the cold snap in feb, we've not had it too bad here.

    Kandyfloss.
You might not have noticed but the thread I started was about the state of ones crop and its vaunerability to the weather and was NOT part of the 'what is your weather like today' thing.
Anyway is it obligitary to read every post before posting?

Yes thanks. Its good to feel a clever bu**er when you get it right. No doubt I will go away in the caravan, a heat wave will appear out of nowere and cook the lot. Oh well you would not bother if you did not have a sence of humor.

    OWG,
I'm with you on the planting early front.

I figured with Runners and French beans I have nothing to lose vs. the cost of seed ( free !) by planting early.

In typical April Fool fashion, I'm planting them out today.

Last year we only had 2 frosts here, and so far this year, the same.

    Wish me luck!
