Wedding cake tree

As it is a Cornus, can i treat it as such and plant it in a wet damp part of my clay filled garden ?

Cornus alternifolia argentea?

I have a feeling that this MIGHT be sold as grafted plants and as such it will depend on the root stock.
But unless its waterlogged I'd give it a go.

 

The ones I`ve seen, and the ones I`ve sold, weren`t grafted. A good, 15ft specimen, is quite impressive.

 

Oh so its grows from cuttings then David.

 

I would say so, and seed.
