      Its mate looks like some kind of rush, or sedge.

      Its sapping the life out of the walnut, so I'd pull it out and give the walnut a feed or two, it looks very yellow.:smile:

        So that one is a walnut as well then? That must be the bloomin' squirrels, the wee monkeys. Not sure what to do with it to be honest @pete - I don't need or want a couple of walnut trees :biggrin:

            Well, it appears I do now! :biggrin:

            There could well be, as there are loads of trees in the back gardens around here - we get loads of wildlife visitors too, mostly as we encourage them - we don't encourage them to plant stuff though
