Weed ID required

    I wonder how easy this weed is to terminate. I dug out an area of my garden that had a lot of rubble in it. I dug down about 8". I've to date half backfilled with better soil. But, these weeds have come up. Possibly they were seeds in the soil. I now want to put the rest of the soil into the remaining hole, but before that kill off the weeds. I'm hoping they wont come up later and mess up the lawn that will cover the area (I'll probably turf).

    I wonder if I should dig it out.

    Yep, looks like Fumara Officinalis - Fumitory :)

    (I note that there's also a Fumara bastardii :heehee:)

      Says it's a weed of arable fields and gardens. Probably more seeds in the soil, but it won't like being mown if they do come thru.

      Probably won't germinate under turf either.
