    Hey guys...
Forgive me if this is the wrong place..... but, I have no idea what to do with my lawn. Well.... I say lawn, I mean weed pit.
It's awful.... mostly moss but ooodles of dandies & clover. I did spray a "weed & feed" on it 9 days ago but it's done nothing (wondering if the stuff in the bottle actually came out through the hose nozzle now:confused:).
Any suggestions - needs to be safe around kids & animals.... oh, and easy to use as I really am quite simple!

Buy some Verdone extra from the garden centre and water it on folowing the directions, better still use a sprayer.

Ive said it many times but i dont rate complete weed and feed traetments.

BTW next time post in LAWNS.

Relax - 9 days is not really long enough for a weed & feed type treatment to have much effect. You might see a bit of a deeper green but your weeds and moss will still be there. It depends on how well the stuff you used was watered in. By the sound of it, you used a hose dispenser? I've never had much success with those; like you, I was unsure about the consistency of the dose it was dishing out.

I've used Evergreen's Complete on a very, very scruffy lawn which I've inherited. You shake little granules out of a plastic watering can thing. You must then ensure that they get watered in within a few days. Underdose rather than overdose your poor old lawn. If it's as bad as you say, I suspect that it's badly compacted and possibly has builders' rubbish hidden underneath it. I've dug all sorts of bad stuff out from under lawns in the past - drain covers, whole window frames, rolls of fencing wire, concrete posts...!
