I grow a few Weigela but not the above variety. I have heard/read somewhere that this variety isn't that hardy? Does anybody grow this variety and are they successful with it? as it looks quite a nice shrub to grow. I live in Scotland so not the kindest of climates. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

One of my clients grew it in a mixed border in Northants without any trouble. In Scotland, unless you're on the West coast, it might need wall protection!

Well we are on the same isotherm as the place in England which has recorded the lowest temperature (-25 c) and Weigela middendorffiana has survived with us for the last 12 years. And boy do we get some cold temps!
