Looks like we've successfully fended off an ice age.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-35307800

Apparently earths orbit, which is not a perfect circle, is just right for us to be in the next 'glaciation' phase, but we've put enough greenhouse gases in the air to keep us from being under a sheet of ice.

So well done all :) keep running those big cars, buying mass produced plasticrubbish, cranking the central heating up while walking about the house in summer clothes.

And a bonus thumbs up to anyone whose ever used an old Volvo as their main run about.

    Well done all.

But we should not rest on our laurels. Ifwe keep up the momentum, maybe, just maybe, we could make ourselves amore Mediterranean style climate. Let's keep up the good work :)

I wish these crack pots, (scientists), could be stopped from publishing any findings until they can actually prove them.
Wouldn't half make things simpler for everyone else.

I'm sure there will be another crack pot publishing his findings in the next few months saying completely the opposite.

Oh good, I'll quickly email Mrs Scrungee and tell her there's now no need for her to burn that bag of coal I left out for her before heading off for the South West.

Now what have I been saying for years?

No one listened when I said we'm still in an interglacial period and that the planet has been cooling for millennia.

Especially David Cameron who thought he cold milk a bit more tax out of us in the name of carbon tax....

Oi, @cameron, I want me bloomin money back you robbin tory scumbag :old:

What they don't call taxes here are referred to as "revenue tools". And they used that moniker heavily lately.

Our provincial poo bahs are eyeing a carbon swindle too...

Yes Kandy, death and taxes are a certainty... don't know what emoticon to put here, oh, yes, one showing a coping mechanism will work...:ccheers:

Carbon taxes are very important. We need the revenue to pay for all the new infrastructure we're going to need. Stuff like, outdoor pool complexes, imported mature palm trees to line our sea fronts, New vineyards, subsidised flip flops, a new division of the police to enforce the new 'only sunbathe topless if you have the body to get away with it' law. Making Britain more Mediterranean isn't going to come cheap don't you know?

But I thought the melting ice had turned off the gulf stream.
So winters in the uk would be getting colder.

We must be the only country in the world where global warming means we will get colder.

                    Crack pots,
Far too many of those in the world these days.
And who pays the illegitimate children.

As I said before Thatchular was looking for an excuse to close the mines all those years ago so she asked the scientist jobsworths to come up with something she could use so they came up with global warming. As they say the rest is history:snorky:

I was watching Judge Rinder yesterday afternoon (TALKING:snork:) and there was a chap on there who had 40 (yes 40 kids and counting:mad:)so imagine all that gas they are expelling not to mention the disposable nappies going into landfill and those forty kids will grow up and all have cars which will spew out pollution which will had to the global warming effect:yikes:
