Had a request for a few more shots of the pill box :)

Someone had widened the entrance for some reason so I rebuilt it.

    And put a door in

Painted the inside and put some windows in

It's stone clad on 2 sides, I guess to disguise it as a garden wall

Oooo looks just like a little fort. You can imagine soldiers hiding in there and shooting the enemy through those little windows as they come past. Okay I'm getting carried away :snork:

I guess there would have been a couple of Home Guard stationed there, often think how they must have whiled away the boredom?

Dad's Army wasn't far from the truth, imagine Pike and Jones and Godfrey holed up in there overnight listening to one of Frazer's dark stories :)

I am sure that would have put the fear of god into a Panzer division, if the war had gone that way :snork:

Steam it, chop it and put in bags in the freezer. I have smaller bags chopped into thin strips which I stir into pork or chicken casseroles (loaded with pearl barley) as a herb, or larger bags of largely uncut leaves for a spinach layer in Lasagne. My other fave is to crumble some Cheshire or Wensleydale into it, top a trout fillet with it, cover with foil and bake.

I would do if I had one, haven't even got a fridge :)

I'll cook it up with some new potatoes and the scapes from the hefalump garlic, got some peas ready too :) DSCN1481.JPG
