Wet week in Cairngorms

    Just home from a few days in the Cairngorms. Weather was lousy, we'd only one day when the sun shone and then it was late in the afternoon. There was snow on the summits (when they could be seen), sleet at our campsite and ice on the puddles. However the autumn colours were still beautiful and on the one evening when I managed to catch the sunset it was stunning.

        I've always wanted to visit the Cairngorms but never got round to it. Pics like these remind me why it is that I've always wanted to pop along for a look.
