I always thought that it happened in remote places like quiet country lanes, derelict building sites, beneath motorway flyovers and desolate cul-de-sacs but who knew that fly-tippers could also be so outrageously audacious. And that it could happen to us.

Directly opposite the Community Garden is the Peace & Wellbeing Garden. These two gardens mark the main entrance to the housing estate.

It is overlooked by at least twenty flats and is in clear view to passersby on the A10 thoroughfare yet in the broad light of day just look at what was dumped:

    Shady, definitely shady.

    Criminally informal.

Unceremoniously cast out to melt and fester.

Like every good CSI, I went through every piece of dumped material and found this hastily drawn sketch:

Do you, or anyone you know, recognise it?

Calling out to all GC members and the wider community, please lend us your strength to expose the culprit(s) and to give them everything that they deserve, and more!

Yes, shout it as far and as wide as possible.

Sorry, it was me. I'll call back later today and collect all those plants I dumped there.

:wow: What a lovely surprise. The Hart's Tongue Fern (looks like 1) alone would cost a few bob. Surely whoever left the plants would want their trollies back I'd have thought. Maybe someone will be along to collect them. Keep us posted and looking forward to seeing the final results.

If no paperwork/tags etc on the trolleys; I'd ring local garden centres to see if a delivery has gone missing.
Then if not claimed have a plant sale to raise money for the kitty; after selecting a few choice items to enhance your own planting.
Probably get a few bob for the trolleys as well.

When you find out who is the fairy godmother/father - give them my address. This kindly gesture restores faith in humanity :wub2:

It seems your sign "PLEASE DO NOT FLY TIP A STUNNING ARRAY OF BEAUTIFUL PLANTS OUTSIDE THESE PREMISES" clearly seems to have not worked :snorky:
