Hi walnut, thanks for that site from me too. I have an old sink which I have tried to set up twice and each time plants have not thrived because the drainage hole got blocked. I'm now inspired to try again... [IMG]

Thanks Walnut that seems an ideal site for the soil mixture. I'm sure the plants I pick will have a very good start off in life.

Hi guys and girls just thought I would update you on the sink only just got round to planting it as it has been hiding behind all of Bob's wood.

I put in the following plants Phlox amoena variegata, Thymus 'Doone Valley', Delosperma Cooperi, Armeria Maritima 'Splendens', Sedum Rupestre (reflexum), Lithospermum 'Blue Star', Sempervivum Mixed and a very cute dwarf Hebe 'Green Globe' which should be happy for a couple of years I hope!

Just gotta put some dwarf spring bulbs in when I come across some nice ones. [IMG]

Hi again Helen, me again. We haven't chatted for at least 10 minutes but it appears we have similar tastes. I haven't got a sink. I would love a sink. My next door neighbour has an old Belfast sink sitting in her garden which has been there for at least a year. It is empty. SOB SOB.

I have got a small rockery.

No idea what this lot are called (even the weed in the front) but I went to my nursery, I liked them and I pushed them into the rockery. It's the Salvador Dali school of gardening. [IMG]

If you like it then do it.

Hi John I always enjoy our chats [IMG] ...... it seems such a shame about that sink going to waste couldn't you ask and see if your neighbour really wants it? you never know you might get lucky and get it!

Love your little rockery you have a couple of sedums there, also a nice clump of Sea thrift or if you want the Latin name Armeria maritima (like I used early) and I'm sure that cute little plant to the right with the purple/brown leaves could well be Heachera micrantha 'Purple Palace', it does seem as if we have similar tastes in plants indeed as I have most of those plants myself.

Lovely picture as well much better than my dark/brownie one. :(
