    Last year ,feb/mar, I planted 8 climbing roses against a 30ft x 6ft high fence.
4 of the roses were named Golden Rain, (bright yellow) the other four were named Paul's Scarlet(Deep red),they grow to @10ft high.
Last year after planting I fed them regular on Miracle-Gro. The results, the climbers grew well, only problem it was mostly foliage not many flowers.
I started last year to intertwine them so I would have a show of mixed Red and Yellow flowers intertwining with each other.
This year they are growing as planned with plenty of shoots from the bottom of the bushes to the tops and I can see lots of buds coming through.
I let the bushes grow to the height of the fence then started to train them through each other.
I wedged several 3 inch plastic plant pots behind the the bushes and the fence near the tops so the new shoots would drape over my side of the fence and not my neighbours.
I have been feeding the roses since February on Home And Garden plant food fertilizer and Blood ,Fish,Bone and regular watering.

I have to thank some of my G.C. Colleagues for the tips they gave me last year on the feeding of the roses, Well Done.:ccheers:.

I will send some Pics when the Roses are in Full Glory.

Good going, Music! I'll look up those roses you've got. I'm in a similar position to you in that I bought 5 dry root climbing roses last Autumn, 3 for by the pond and two for the Arbour. The first three roses are Bright Future, Madame Alfred Carriere, and White Cloud [for the pond area], and the last two are Compassion and Alchemist for the two sides of the Arbour. So all the roses are in their first year and are just sprouting and growing, it'll be interesting to watch their progress. I won't worry too much if they don't flower too much this year, but I will expect better things next year. Like you I've used Miracle Grow for a weekly feed but as soon as I see the hint of a bud I will swap over to Tomato Fertiliser to encourage flowering. Post some pics as yours flower and I'll do the same.:snork:
