I forgot that i had sown these - the sun had bleached out the label, I thought they were ordinary blue poppies, Meconopsis betonicifolia. I had forgotten that i had sown the white form as well.
So a nice surprise this morning.

And a close up view. I love the contrast between the pure white petals and the golden anthers.

Beltin` pictures geaffhandley [IMG] as you say, the contrast of colours is fantastic.

My surprise of the year was a jasmine, flowering red instead of the scented white I was promised on the packaging!

That's beautiful Geoff, have never seen a white one before.

Hi Kedi-Gato, when it is in full bloom I will post a picture. I did find out the name of it and sent it to your sis LOL as she wanted one. If you ask her she might have the name written down, it is unscented though. :(

The poppy is lovely. I haven't tried either blue or white.
I have a red jasmine from Morrisons. It has small flowers and I cannot detect any scent yet. It's quite pretty but I'm not impressed!
[It can't hear all the way from the garden]
