My life would be so easy if I didn't have to rely on other people.

In September I ordered 5 fruit trees. I was told that delivery would be when they were dormant, probably October.

I then got a note saying delivery would be delayed to mid November because of the mild Autumn.

I arrived home on Saturday night having watched the mighty Folkestone Invicta lose to Chester in the FA cup to find that TNT had tried to deliver them on Friday and again on Saturday while I was away so I phoned them on Monday to arrange delivery on thursday (today) as DW would be at home.

She's just phoned me to say that the guy has crashed his van and has had to go to hospital. They were sending out another driver to sort things out. The police want to impound the van and all its contents for at least two days, which means that two working days is Monday, but DW won't be home to take delivery until Thursday.

I'm glad they're bare root trees and not something that would wither and die over two weeks sitting in a warehouse and van. There go my plans for the weekend.

Oh dear - what a drama! I've had deliveries go badly wrong ("I'm sorry madam, but your parcel has been mislaid in the Bahamas") but never yet, thank God, plants. Hope they arrive safely.

What kind of plants did you order ???

Have visions of 'happy' plants sitting in the 'nik' with lots of laughing policemen :D

I do hope everything gets sorted out OK and your trees come to no harm.
