The last few days Ive been busy with the 575 and tirfor dealing with a lot of windthrow and some nasty hang ups,

Notably a very mature beach, a large willow and a ginkgo biloba as well as numerous boughs and non descript trees.

A combination of the last few weeks of heavy rain, trees still in leaf coupled with localised gusty winds.

Tell me about it - But it's the way of nature. Just got to deal with it I guess.

Nah - The saddest part of the job is when a customer ignores your advice and decides on 'having a go' themselves and totally hacking the tree to bits... then standing back and proudly admiring their handywork, ignorant that they've sealed their tree's fate.

Lost lots of lovely trees in the garden to gales and lightening etc. over the years.

A couple we have been able to pollard and stand back up again, but the likes of the 150 year old Lebanon Cedars are a sad loss ...

It is such a shame. A few years ago a branch came off the huge tree in my ex's drive and wrote my car off. It was a huge branch and the tree looked odd without it
