    Miraflores I think but I am not sure that they are a member of the Kingfisher family,but these are usualy found in Australia.Lovely specimen though :cool:

    Spot on Kandy the Kookaburras are very large terrestrial kingfishers native to Australia and New Guinea,great pictures Mira.

    They mainly feed on reptiles :( unlike the other Kingfishers.
    I remember old Tarzan films when I was young where the background African jungle sounds always seemed to have an Australian Kookaburra!!! :D
