hi catwoman, i grow pots in pots or half growbags stood on end, and i get a good crop every time.(thats if i grow them in the g house or outside).so i would give it a go nothing to lose.

    thanks dave

i have been doing a search all over the net but just keep coming up with toms and cucs all the time i will put some spuds in there though :D

might try chillis and peppers again next yr they just starting to go red now at last but the weather has really bashed them as i had to put them outside that many bits and bobs dropping off them .

but if i leave them in there all next year they should be alot better [IMG]

might give melon a wurl too !!

You could start your spuds in the GH cattwoman and move them outside when the weather warms up. I did that with ours this year and have just finished emptying the last of the containers.

A melon should be fine - we've just eaten an Ogen melon we grew in a polytunnel and it was really delicious.

What about one of Pete's Pepinos?...I have several raised from seeds that came from a cutting he sent me...they are so easy and the fruit is very nice.

I don't like the flavour of melons, but when I walk into the greenhouse on the day one is ripe the fantastic smell knocks my socks off.

You can start seeds of most kinds, flowers or vegetable, in trays and they will get an early start over those planted outside.
