    Hi night owls,
I was just reading some posts on here and there was a big 'crash' thru the bush....hang on still a bit of noise. I'm going to investigate.....I may be some time
Update - goodness knows what it was. Can only think it must have been a cat?? To explain, we have a largish bush by the house where sparrows roost. It's below my bedroom which is how I heard the noise. Looked out the window and thought I saw something flying off but don't think it could have been, could it?
Anyway, went downstairs & couldn't see anything. Then Joyce came down & wanted out and when I opened the door again, my neighbours security light was on. ?????
The thing is, these neighbours had a cat kill a bird in their garden the other day so that's why I think it must have been that. Ended up staying up for a while so am finally off to bed now. Night all.

It wasn't me, could have been a badger.

Was having a smoke at 3am the other nite, a hedgepig came upto the car, sniffed the back tyre & waddled off again.

Absolutely - foxes can be very noisy, whether they are fighting, mating or looking for food...

Thanks guys. Thought we were too urban for foxes but anything's possible I suppose. (Although not a badger and, unfortunately, not one of those lovely monsters lol)
There was only small damage, some rasberry canes squashed and bush knocked about a bit.
Spoke to my neighbour today who said he heard noises & his security light had come on a couple of times.
Didn't hear any noises from the 'animal/s', not even the birds, just the crashing. Weird eh?

Foxes everywhere round here in suburban Leicester, and I don't think they turn back when they reach the city centre! They don't wait for sunset, either.

I get fewer now that I've nailed my loose fence slats down.

They make one hell of a racket at certain times of the year, presumably when mating. (I'll have what she's having.)
