My son "gave" me 200 tree saplings.
Not me really but somewhere in Africa where a community's land has been deforested, as an alternative gift via World Vision, a nice gesture. [IMG]
I did get a 20gig sony MP3 player which will take all my 200 cds (in time).

That's a good sort of present, Strongy. We gave one of our friends one of these
    http://www.wt-store.com/Detail.aspx?id=71
and they gave us two mosquito nets

Never been to Chelsea, Tig, just Hampton Court - bet you have a great time!

I gave Mr D a didgeridoo - and he loves it! (Or atleast, he says so....)

I hope you all had a great time. My family did me proud this year, and amongst other things I have the tapes of Gerard Hoffnung including his address to the Oxford Union (the bricklayer story), - and I'm looking forward to hearing them and laughing.

The Bricklayer story, is one of the funniest things I have ever heard, and it doesn't pall with rehearing. He is just a splendid racconteur. (not sure I spelt that right- ah well its christmas :D )

Aside from "sail away" I can't say that David Gray has the kind of style and voice that I like best. I am more of an Elton John fan or Eva Cassidy....

I got some new garden tools, which I really needed. Plus lots of bulbs, so hopefully there is still time to plant them. I got some planted in today. I like useful presents. Bye G4

Boonie's present was dearly loved, but sadly the squeeker went within 4 hours, and then his perservering teeth ripped santa's face off. It is no more :(

I got tickets for Chelsea as well....would suggest we try to meet up, but that's usually rather a doomed endeavour....
I think the main thing for me was that I moved into a new flat, with a bigger garden and space for my COMPOST BIN!
