I have loads of these tiny pale yellow round balls in my pots

Are they snails eggs or something else?

Sound a wee bit like snails eggs...I caught one in the act of laying a couple of summers ago - they were more white than yellow, and jellylike, almost transluscent.

Though I wonder if thye are maybe the slow release fertilizer pellets some garden centres/nurseries use. Are they shop-bought potplants? Are the shells hard - but pop open when squeezed? Unless they are a non-native snail egg (I have a giant African land snail pet, whos eggs are really calcified - pretty much like hens eggs, though creamy yellow in colour).

    and link to fertilizer pellets:

(Yikes - sorry about huge link - wee link wouldn't work!)

wow - thank you for the useful pics.

I think mine are the fertiliser pellets after all. oops [IMG] They are definately yellow and hardish on the outside. The pot was from a shop bought aubergine last year. I'm so glad I didn't spend ages picking them all out now.

I do have millions of slugs & snails but haven't seen any of the white translucent eggs yet.
