I always like to look "nice" generally speaking but when I'm in my garden working I just love to get mucky!

So I dress in my favorite old beaten up jeans with any old top that should have long been throw away.
I have the most horrible brown leather shoes [IMG] in the world made by Fatface which I wouldn't dare wear out in public but boy they are soooo comfortable I just have to wear them in the garden and truth be told I would wear them anywhere if they were not so unlady like! [IMG]

So do you have a gardening outfit that you find yourself wearing while busy doing some dirty job in the garden?
Or have you no need for a special outfit?

    Hi helofadigger

I also look pretty shocking, especially in the winter with my jeans covered with my old wet gear trousers, which I have been going to change for the past two winters as they have a split which I have repaired with some black tape, not mention the hat plastered down to keep me warm. Short wellies summer or winter as they are so comfortable. A sight to behold, but I'm glad to hear I am not alone.

Helen. Is this a joke? Knowing you it is. You know I like to wear a black tie tuxedo, spats and deely bobbers. EVERYBODY wears what they are comfortable in. But I do hate wellies. (Though they are practical) [IMG] :D

Hey LoL. We must get together. I will move to Portugal wearing Black tie, tuxedo, spats and deely bobbers and you will be wearing as little as possible. We'll give the locals a hell of a laugh. What's that? You only date guys wearing white tie? OK I resign.

Old joggers with dirty knees, old t shirts and if it's cold layers of old tops, sun hat in summer and some toe-tector shoes that I used to have to wear at work, at least my toes are safe!

    I don't look pretty :D

I have old shorts for the sunny days and old jeans for the not so sunny days! Just got some new work trousers so the old ones have been relegated to saving plants instead of humans!

I also wear an old work T-shirt as it is bigger than the shirts they supply so not comfy to wear for work. No wellies but an old pair of slip on Timberlands - comfy and safe!

(I must admit though I did some digging in my bikini today!   )

Clothes! HA HA :) But seriously folks, In winter I have an old short jacket and a pair of old trousers that I wear. Don't wear anything under the jacket, as get hot quickly with all the garden chores.
In summer, same trousers, no jacket and an old T-shirt.

Normally, not what I should be! I wander up the garden for something, then I spot a weed and stop to pull it out, then I spot another... before I know where I am I am half way through re-landscaping the garden in my best clothes covered in mud

    OMG what have I started!

No John not a joke just interested what all you guys and girls wear because I do look so funny in all my gardening gear!
I look just like a bag lady although I'm so very vain I still have to wear my make-up!

Just got back from the movies and one of by neighbours (who only has ever seen me in the garden) came rushing up to see where I had been as I looked so very nice not like my usual self, called her a cheeky mare and said I had only been to the movies!

Might have to start dressing nice for the garden you know wearing my heels etc. may not be such a bad idea at least it will serve some can of purpose by aerating the lawn! :D

Well, I don't know about the totally nude, but the topless is okay, which happens from time to time ... by accident, I hasten to add, if the pareo slips.
