Decided to have soup and a sandwich for lunch today, so do I have ham and watercress, or ham and red onion, chose the latter, whats everybody elses` favourite combo. :dunno:

I must be getting desperate, so fed up with this inactivity. :loll:

I love a good sandwich - one of my favourites is tuna, onion and tomato all diced quite small, then mixed with salad cream. If feeling really extravagant, add some grated mature cheddar

this weather a triple decker white toasted, smoked bacon, with smoked swiss cheese drizzled with HP Brown sauce :dancy: interlaced with a red shallot diced finely.

Followed by a large mug of tea , it hits the spot everytime

Depends on my mood.. Today was Peanut Butter (crunchy).. Lovely firm slices of Brie.. Cue Sal leaves, fresh ground black pepper & my homemade spiced cranberry sauce on the inside of sandwich top slice.. Yum.. I also like this one with grapes sliced in or strawberries sprinkled with balsamic vinegar instead of cranberry sauce... ;) On Granary for me & gluten free for OH..

I'm boring with regard to sandwiches , even though I cook rather complicated meals :).

I don't like my filling messed around with much and prefer to taste what I've put in between the bread.

Smoked salmon with a hint of lemon and black pepper (used to be a posh sarnie but smoked salmon is quite cheap nowadays :heehee: ).
Egg with a touch of mayonnaise.
A nice very mature cheddar, neat.
Tinned salmon with some cue sliced so thin you can see through it.
Rare roast beef with a touch of homemade horseradish.

For my favorite, would be a Reuben sandwich and a good beer.

Next, a good bagel, with nova salmon, cream cheese and chives.

Next, good dark bread, fresh ham, mustard, swiss cheese.

Next, good grainy bread: sliced thin avocada, fresh chicken, mayo, and munster cheese

Next, fresh grilled hamberger, thick slice of cheddar cheese, fresh just out of the garden sliced tomato, slice of sweet onion and mayo. and a good bun.

It depends on my mood also but I can only eat whole/multigrain, rye or corn breads. But we both have taken to grated Double Gloucester with coleslaw in latter months, but I love tinned salmon and cucumber, tuna/onion/red pepper/mayo on toasted bread, soft goat's cheese with red pepper, roast chicken with stuffing or egg mayo ... and I am sure there are more. Oh, like the peanut butter as well and banana ...

One thing for sure, the bread has GOT to be fresh and soft, even if it is a baguette.
