What do you think to this ??

    I used my john dear mulching mower earlyer on quite long grass and the bolt holding the blade on sheared off :confused:i replaced it and the blade when i bent it a few weeks back its been fine the couple of times ive used it since what do you think the prob could be bent crankshaft ? :(

    Perhaps you over tightend the bolt? either that or it was dodgy steel.

    I doubt a bent crankshaft would affect the blade bolt, more so the belts and engine.

    Well i dont think i over did it it tightening it up the grass was quite long but hell that shouldnt do it should it the reason i though bent crankshaft was because i wounderd if the blade had struck the deck but if the shaft was bent it would be vibrateing somthing terrible wouldnt it ! ill order a new bolt tomorrow and try again:)

    id have thought thered be evidence if the blade had contacted the deck
