I'm afraid I left it a little late for mail order this year so had to rely on The Range.
Therefore all I've got are Hyacinths Carnegie and City of Harlem and Narcissus Paperwhite and Scarlet Gem.

Having another go at an amaryllis "red lion", it shot out leaves and then plain died last year lol :noidea: and trying some pink hyacinths.. picked them up today funnily enough.

        Hi Linz,

I've given up on Amaryllis. They always grow well the first year and then that's it.
I've only just planted my Hyacinths so they'll be later than Christmas :(

I didn't even think about forcing bulbs this year, just picked them up on a whim ( as I do)! Hope I'll have bit more luck with it this year, think it was too wet and not enough light.

If you can find any Narcissi " Paperwhite " they are really worth having a go at. They are small flowered with a lot of flowers one one stem and 2/3 stems per bulb, and they have the sweetest scent.
They only take 6 weeks to flower ( so you've still got time for Christmas ) from planting so what I do is put four lots in about 3 weeks apart.

Picked some up paperwhites from wilko, 3 for £4 and they're poking through already. Did see some in tesco/asda for £8/£10..
The amaryllis has shot up and got a bud, I'm so happy last one was just leaf! 20161115_120753[1].jpg
