What going on here.....help!!

    Hello everyone!!

    What has happened to one of my broad beans? It was happily growing away, then got lots of flowers, then it decided to go all droopy at the top as if to die (Please see pictures). I have given them all a feed with tomato food & they get water everyday if dry. All my other broad beans are looking great.

    Please help!!:D

    Assuming there are no obvious signs like slugs nibbling the stem or blackfly, it must be something to do with the roots. Maybe there's an ants nest under that plant. I reckon that plant has had it, so it might be worth pulling it up and having a real close look at the root ball to see whats what.

    I have just been outside to have a look at that particular broadbean, & it has two smaller plants growing from its base that look quite healthy. Do you still recommend that I pull it out? Also the leaves at the bottom of the poorly broadbean look healthy, it's just the top.:cnfs:

    Well in that case, I'd leave it in place and hope that the two smaller plants at its base carry on growing.
