The dogwood has always been very healthy but since late summer I noticed slight fuzzy white patches and now some yellow leaves with the dreaded "black spot". One side of the plant seems much more healthy than the other side which is a bit odd.

Some year back I had some roses nearby that suffered bad black spot but we got rid of them completely. Could that be a factor?

What can I do about this? Thank!

They do look a bit manky, but the leaves will drop off very soon, and the plant might well be fine next year. The fuzzy white is possibly mildew spots which will not necessarily recur, especially if the plant is watered and fed well. The black bits could just be seasonal degeneration at this time of year. They could be one of the lurgies on this site but they don't seem to be bad enough.

One of my dogwoods has done this already. It does it every year and comes back without a problem.
