This is some sort of plant from the daisy family but im not sure which one it is

Its been in that pot for a few years now and i was hoping i could divide it and keep some in the pot and put some on the garden.

To me it looks like it is already divided since the stalks seem wide apart and not all coming from one cluster.

Thank you Victoria but I don't think it is this one as the RHS page on it says its only H2 hardy and this would of died in the first year if that was the case.

It kind of looks like that but its not this one on the RHS as it doesn't have aromatic leaves

The google images looks similar but the foliage doesn't look quite right

I had a feeling it might be a tricky one.

Hardly wise its def survived minus 5 and has been covered in snow and frost. Im sure its got colder than that but cant be bothered to shift through the old weather records

I'd say Anthemis too, but no idea which one. I have E.C. Buxton and it looks very like yours except mine is yellow, even the dying bits at the lower parts of the stems is very Anthemis like in behaviour.
          I'm often wrong though ...

p.s. very pretty whatever it is, there is something special I think about the simplicity.

            Hi Dips,

I'd say it was definitely an Anthemis.
Have you looked at A. Punctata.

Anthemis yes, I'd go with A. Susanna Mitchell.

You are right Dips, it would definitely benefit from dividing up in the autumn and some fresh compost would give it renewed vigour.

The only bit that is confusing me is they all say silvery foliage and mine doesnt have silvery foliage and never has, its always a strong green

Most say to divide in spring on the sites but do you reckon autumn is fine as well?

                A. Sauce Hollandaise is very similar, but again with the aromatic leaves.
