    Hi,

My new veg patch has something that looks like tomato in it, but i'm not sure if i've accidentally drop a few seeds of it in my veg patch. Who would ever thing a tomato plant would be called a weed using its definition :D:D

Heres a pic of it in the foreground....

It does look like a tomato plant to me, but what else could it be that i've missed? I've been careless and lost what i planted in the bed, most were brassicas or carrots and it not those.

Does it also smell like a tomatoe plant? They do tend to have a distinctive smell about them.

    Hello!

I'm growing Kale from seed in pots to plant out when I've dug up my spuds. They are around 6 inches tall at mo & they look very similar to your unknown plant.

But it could be something else!!!!:cnfs:

Could be a self sown/bird-sown open-pollinated tomato on its way back to wild type. They look same only different.

Tomato seeds are quite often found in compost made from sewage farms - I'll assume you can guess how the seeds get there! They will germinate & grow outside at this time of year quite prolifically. So its not unusual to find them growing like that. The trouble is you won't know what variety it is so it might not produce any decent fruit.
