I was wondering if anyone knows what this very large house plant is?
It's at a friends house and it seems to be wilting a bit.
    Thank you very much.

Looks like a sickly caryota. Overwatered? Underwatered?
Could really do with a repot into fresh soil

I don’t know what it is, but it looks to be in need of repotting and a feed. Has it dried out or is it sitting in wet compost?
Where is it situated? Could it be in a draught or getting too much/too little light?
If it is a caryota, then if your friend looks it up on line, there will be lots of care advice, plus more knowledgeable folks than me will be along here to advise, I’m sure. Good luck.

Many thanks, flounder, AnniD and Blue arbour!
I think he has been watering it every two weeks, so maybe that's the reason.
I'll ask him to check the drainage holes.
I think it has a good amount of light as it's a south facing window.
I will tell him your tips, thank you all.

Wow, 10 metres - needs a hole in the ceiling! I'll let him know to think about repotting.
