Found this poor looking thing in the middle of some random growth. It was looking pretty poor. It had 3 wooden stems that I have cut away.

Lots of dead and eaten leaves.

What is it and can it be saved in a pot?

It could be Comfrey, but they don't have hard "wooden" stems, but thick, deep, soft, stringy, fleshy ones with a very characteristic smell.

That sounds familiar actually from last year.

Any saving it do you think?

Foxglove leaves are toothed, comfrey leaves are not, so yes, more likely. :)

Always worth a shot - some fresh compost, a slightly bigger pot and a bit of water might work wonders!
