What is this spider

    Does anyone know this spider? It hangs itself up side down on its web. The size of the body is about penny.

    I am not 100% sure but it could be a Garden Spider{Aranaeus diadematus}

    Yes Kandy you are right.Woo it's the front legs that give the crab spiders away they sort of curve in much like a crabs claws hence the name.

    Thanks for the replies, but I am confused :confused:

    Is it crab spider or garden spider, or both are the same thing? please advise.

    It's a garden spider a crab spider is a different beast.
