I am pulling out weeds and a dead bush (thanks neighbour :( ), and need to know what this I and how brutal I can be in cutting it back. Currently stand about 6ft tall.

A quick reply would be great as I need to make a decision ASAP.

    Thanks. WP_20150810_001.jpg WP_20150810_002.jpg WP_20150810_003.jpg WP_20150810_004.jpg

Good Morning GYO, I'm not sure what this is called however I can tell you that I had one in the garden and it was about 8ft high and 10ft wide, I know a lot of people use it as hedging, it has pretty leaves but if you want to keep it small it will need pruning at the right time of year. I'm sure that someone will come along soon and advise you properly which I will be very interested in. I've cropped mine to the ground as it was just hideously overgrown and leggy probably not the right thing to do, but hey ho... will wait to see what happens next spring with the view of keeping it small and as feature shrub :)

Thanks everyone. I have proped it up and given it a trim for now. I have also cleared a fantastic space to the left. Not a very sunny spot, but could put my potted strawberries there over winter or it come become my new 'micro' orchard and I could stand two of my potted dwarf fruit trees.
