Hi I'm looking to put this type of hedge in my garden but don't know what it's called , where I can get it from or how to grow it. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Yup, agree privet. The "veins" on the leaf should double-back on themselves towards the edge of the leaf. I expect other plants have this feature too, but I can't remember seeing it on other leaves.

If thats a recent picture and taken in Edinburgh, I would doubt thats its privet - it just looks to be in too good a condition for this time of year
