    Hi
I am looking to plant a small hedge between mine and neighbours driveway,
I don't want anything that will get too high, ideally about 2-3 ft and something that is very easy to look after.

    Any sugestions?

Good evening ngf, and welcome to the site.:thumb: The obvious answer would be Box hedging ( Buxus ). They are evergreen and easy to maintain as a low hedge.:)

I adore Yew hedges, they take ages but are definitely worth the wait.

For something different, how about Lavender "Hidcote"? grows to 2', flowers, evergreen, lovely scent. Ticks a lot of boxes for me :)

    I'm sure I know her!!!

Apologies, couldn't resist ;) Seriously though, lovely looking, but aren't they quite fast growing? What are they like for maintenance (I've never tried growing one)?

They do grow fast but you can cut them back to size with a hedge trimmer in feb time

Yew or rosa rugosa seems overdone for a hedge of 2-3 feet, imho. Buxus would be practically perfect.Or ever rosemary, if it is warm enough.

I don't think they take a long time - unless you want a tall hedge. For something a few feet high I don't think it will take too long, and it won't grow so fast that it will need cutting all the time!
