Very sticky patches of "globules", about 1" across
I presume it's some kind of aphid ?
I'm wiping off with a wet cloth ... should I be doing anything else ?

    Thanks !

      possibly aleurotrixus

if it is only a mild infestation, it should be possible to cure it by wiping the sticky stuff away from the leaves using cotton and the product below. (what is it called in English?)

Hi Evil Len/Miraflores. It Does look like Aleurothrixus Floccosus ( Wooly Whitefly).they seem to lay eggs on Citrus bushes.the eggs are circular pattern with waxy scales. they appear on the underside of fully expanded leaves.Treatment, Provado Spray should do the trick..

I think you could be right about the wooly whitefly ... just been and shook the tree, and a couple of small white insects flew off

What is Provado, is it just a 'normal' aphid killer ? I've got some general rose (aphid, fungus) etc spray, would that be okay to use ?

          Thanks y'all !

Hi Evil Len. Bayer Provado Ultimate Bug Killer. costs vary £3.00- £5.00 for the spray.i purchased it from Pounstretcher £2.99, it is highly recommended for your problem, dont know about your rose spray but for a couple of pounds its worth spending to cure your problem.:dbgrtmb:.

Len, if you get lemons on the plant and you intend using them in some culinary way you should be using an insecticide that states its for use on "edible" plants

Stuff used on roses is unlikely to be cleared for consumption.

If on the other hand you just grow it for the scented flowers and appearance, the rose stuff will probably work.
